Documents Required

Visa Application Form

• Completed and signed Schengen visa application form.

Passport

• Valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended stay.
• Issued within the last 10 years.
• Contains at least two blank pages.

UK Residency

• Provide a UK eVisa printout from UKVI with a valid share code.

Proof of Travel

• Round-trip flight reservation or proof of onward travel.

Travel Medical Insurance

• Covers the entire Schengen area.
• Minimum coverage of €30,000 for emergency medical expenses, hospitalization, and repatriation.

Proof of Accommodation

• Hotel booking, rental agreement, or employer-provided housing confirmation.

Proof of Finance

• Recent UK bank statements (last 3 months).
• If financially supported by a spouse or parent:
  • Marriage certificate or birth certificate.
  • Sponsor’s bank statement and a signed statement of financial support.

Proof of Employment in Finland

• Employment contract stating job title, salary, duration of employment, and work responsibilities.
• Employer’s business registration details.

Additional Documents Based on Work Visa Type

ICT Permit / Mobile ICT Permit (Intra-Corporate Transfer)

• Employment contract from both sending and receiving entities.
• Official letter from employer confirming the internal transfer.
• Proof that the home and host entities belong to the same company group.
• Salary details meeting Finland’s wage requirements.

Religious Community Workers

• Official confirmation letter from the religious organization outlining job responsibilities.
• Proof of financial support if unpaid.

Internship & Unpaid Training Programs

• Internship contract signed by both employer and applicant.
• Proof of academic enrollment (if applying through Erasmus+ or similar programs).
• Financial proof covering the internship period.

Seasonal Workers

• Employment contract specifying job role, salary, and duration.
• Proof of experience (if required for the role).
• For work under 3 months: Seasonal Work Visa or Certificate for Seasonal Work.
• For work 3-9 months: Residence Permit for Seasonal Work.

Athletes, Coaches, Sports Referees

• Contract with a sports club or federation specifying role and salary.
• Proof of professional sports status (e.g., federation membership, rankings, or achievements).
• Sponsorship letter (if financially supported).

Work in Culture & Arts

• Proof of previous work experience or formal education in the arts.
• Employment contract or project-based work agreement.
• If self-employed, submit contracts or client agreements.

Journalists & Mass Media Professionals

• Employment contract confirming that the employer does not have a business presence in Finland.
• Letter from media organization confirming assignment in Finland.
• Press accreditation (if applicable).

Consultants & Senior/Middle Management

• Employment contract stating job responsibilities, salary, and contract duration.
• For top/middle management: Proof that the company has a clear division between executive and operational roles.
• If self-employed: Bank statements, tax documents, or revenue proof.

Employees in International Organizations

• Official confirmation from the international organization outlining the nature of employment.
• Proof that the work is part of official cooperation between states or organizations.

Documents for Minors

• Birth certificate.
• Parental consent letter (if traveling alone or with only one parent).
• Copies of parents’ passports.

Photo Specifications

Ensure your visa application photograph meets the following requirements:

• Recent & Quality: Taken within the last six months, high resolution, no marks or creases.
• Size & Composition: 35–40mm width, face covering 70–80% of the frame, sharp and clear.
• Expression & Eyes: Neutral expression, mouth closed, eyes fully visible, no hair over the face.
• Lighting & Background: Even lighting, no shadows, plain light-colored background.
• Headwear & Glasses: Head coverings allowed only for religious reasons, glasses must not obstruct eyes.
• Digital Standards: High-resolution, photo-quality print.

Avoid blurry images, red-eye effects, obstructed features, or overexposure. Non-compliant photos may result in delays or rejection.
