Long-Stay Visa

Documents Required

Visa Application Form

• A completed, dated, and signed residence permit application.

Passport

• A valid passport issued within the last 10 years.
• Must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay.
• Must contain at least two blank pages.

UK Residency

• Provide a UK eVisa printout from UKVI with a valid share code.

Proof of Business & Eligibility

• Positive Eligibility Statement from Business Finland (no older than 4 months).
• Business plan, including growth projections and market analysis.
• Proof of company registration (if the company is already established).
• Proof of ownership & management involvement in the start-up.

Proof of Financial Resources

• Personal bank statements (last 6 months) showing funds for self-support.
• Proof of start-up funding (investment agreements, grants, or venture capital confirmations).
• Company’s updated financial records (if already operational).

Proof of Accommodation

• Rental agreement or proof of residence in Finland.

Proof of Travel

• Flight reservation or travel itinerary.

Right to Work

• Primary activity must be managing and running the start-up.
• Other types of employment are allowed alongside start-up operations.
• If applying for an extended permit, check whether you can continue working while the application is being processed.

Photo Specifications

Ensure your visa application photograph meets the following requirements:

• Recent & Quality: Taken within the last six months, high resolution, no marks or creases.
• Size & Composition: 35–40mm width, face covering 70–80% of the frame, sharp and clear.
• Expression & Eyes: Neutral expression, mouth closed, eyes fully visible, no hair over the face.
• Lighting & Background: Even lighting, no shadows, plain light-colored background.
• Headwear & Glasses: Head coverings allowed only for religious reasons, glasses must not obstruct eyes.
• Digital Standards: High-resolution, photo-quality print.

Avoid blurry images, red-eye effects, obstructed features, or overexposure. Non-compliant photos may result in delays or rejection.
